Kenya Build 2010

The project in 2010 saw the completion of the re-building programme at Cheryl’s Children’s Rescue Centre. The project began in early February and was completed at the end of September. It involved the building of three new classrooms, a pre-school unit, a library and a computer lab. Cheryl’s now has a completely re-built orphanage and school. The school has a capacity to hold 300 pupils.

The volunteers spent a week in early July working on the project in which time the main building was roofed, the two classrooms painted and the block work built for the third classroom.

Once the volunteers left the work was completed by local labour .The project was funded by money raised by volunteers and donations from well-wishers.
